I’m back from an extended break that I honestly didn’t realize was so long!
Life was crazy for a few weeks but I now plan to develop a better, more consistent posting schedule to avoid any additional hiatus.Read More
Have you ever been to a murder dinner party or something like that?
I remember hearing about them several years ago but had never been to one…Brad found a brunch one and thought that I’d enjoy it.
Neither of us are sure what to think after having gone to it…Read More
This year for Valentine’s Day Brad and I had dinner at Ignite Kitchen in downtown Denver, kind of by Coors Field. Neither of us had ever been there before and I’m not sure how Brad found this place but it was great! It seems like it’s a fairly small place with a fairly simple menu but what we had really was great; we sat on the main floor in the bar area but there’s also an upstairs area with a patio that is supposed to have a great view.
They had a special menu that night which is also their menu for 5280 Restaurant Week. It consisted of an appetizer, entree, and dessert for each person for only $25 each.Read More
Recently, Brad and I spent an evening at Uncorked Kitchen. They offer cooking classes where you go and learn how to make a meal and then get to enjoy eating it at the end of the night. We had been to one of their classes more than a year ago and didn’t particularly care for it but Brad ended up with a credit that was about the expire so we decided to give it another try.
We’re both glad that we did.Read More
After two long weeks of being in a cone and literally not allowed to play, our puppy, Miss. Lady-Bug is finally free! I took her to the vet just an hour ago to have her checked and the sutures removed; the vet was very happy and everything looks great so she’s finally in the clear. 🙂Read More
Poor, poor Lady.
Our sad little Lady-bug was spayed last week. Needless to say it’s been an interesting time in our house since her surgery.
Lady is a lab puppy…how are you supposed to keep a lab puppy calm? The vet said she’s not allow to run, jump, or play. She’s not supposed to PLAY.Read More
Cows running down the streets of downtown Denver? How awesome is that!?
Until this year I had never gone to the Stock Show Parade. Growing up, every year we would go to the National Western Stock Show. My brother’s (John) birthday is in the middle of January so we would always go for his birthday. But I had never gone to the parade; in fact, I didn’t even know that there was a parade until a few years ago when my friend Katie went and told me about it.Read More
So…New Year and new goals and whatnot. Last year I gained a really unnecessary amount of weight due to a combination of things. With the end of the holiday season and the start of the new year I decided that I really need to get my butt in gear and get back into the gym. As you can see from the photo above, this is clearly something that needs to be done; look at those chipmunk cheeks!Read More
The last two years have been full of new adventures for me. I quit a job I had planned to have for several more years, I started a new job in a completely unexpected industry, I met the man who would become husband, I traveled to unexpected places, and I got married which I never thought I’d actually do. The times of change for me didn’t just stop after our wedding in August though. In the fall of 2017 we got a new puppy and I quit that unexpected job.Read More
