After two long weeks of being in a cone and literally not allowed to play, our puppy, Miss. Lady-Bug is finally free!  I took her to the vet just an hour ago to have her checked and the sutures removed; the vet was very happy and everything looks great so she’s finally in the clear. 🙂

We’ve been home for about 30 minutes now and Jock and Lady have been having a great time saying hi to each other again.

I haven’t seen them that happy in a few weeks so it was great to see.  After wrestling on the couch for several minutes Lady began running laps around the house.  It was weird seeing her not run into things!

Over the weekend Brad and I went to PetCo to get Lady a new harness and leash.  She hasn’t been allowed to go on walks for the last couple of weeks so now I need to get back into training her to walk like I respectful dog.  I had been training her on the Gentle Leader head harness which was helping with the training but she refused to do her business outside when it was on; being that we don’t have a yard for her to freely run in, walks are necessary for her to do her business.  When she refused to do so on her walks it kinda defeated part of the purpose.  While at the store, I found a fancy harness that has connections for both front lead and back lead and has attachments to be used as a seatbelt in the car.  I specifically wanted a front lead to train her not to pull so we went with that option.  I’m excited to try out her new harness today and to see how she does.

Now that we’re done with this experience I hope that Lady never needs to wear a cone again.  Hopefully
she’ll remain healthy and happy and will never have another reason for one.

That being said, Jock needs to have his teeth cleaned in the next month so I’ll have another drugged and sad dog soon. 🙁

I’ll post more fun pictures of Jock and Lady reconnecting when they calm down so they’re not as blurry.
