This is the first dish I ever learned how to make from my mom. This quick and easy homemade spaghetti sauce is great when you need comfort food and the leftovers are perfect for lasagna.

  • 1/2Tablespoon Thyme, fresh or dried
  • 1Tablespoon Sugar

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef. While the meat browns, season it with a sprinkling of either salt and pepper or lemon pepper.

  3. To the browned beef, add the tomato sauce; fill the empty tomato sauce cans half-full with water, add to the pot.

  5. Add the tomato paste to the pot; fill the empty tomato paste can completely full with water, add to the pot. Stir sauce well.

  8. Let sauce simmer for and additional 15 minutes or so and serve over your favorite pasta or veggie noodles.
Recipe Notes

Italian seasoning can replace the individual herbs for ease.  If using Italian seasoning add 2-3 Tablespoons.
